保护环境 Protect Environment 第一篇

Many people are active in fighting against unfair treatment to colored people, women , animals and so on. Right now I am talking about fighting for respect to our environment. Though the environment doesn’t have a mouth to deprecate what humans have done to her, she retaliates through action. In the early years the Chinese cut down large quantities of trees, at the source of the yellow river, which led to the disappearance of big forests and terrible floods. As a result，the Huangtu plateau which was once covered with grass and forests was turned into barrens that supported fewer plants. Another example was in several developed countries. Because many chemical factories discharged poisonous gas without filtering it, cities were covered with so much poisonous gas that people were killed by the air they breathed in. What horrible scene!

What we are suffering is only a small part of what the nature once suffered. If we don’t take action to show respect to the environment, we will have to face an increasingly awful situation.

Measures should be taken to protect the environment on which we are relying. First governments should forbid destroying vegetation, rivers and lakes, oceans, as and the atmosphere as well. Second voices should be made to announce the public of the importance of protecting the environment. Third enterprises should pay special attention to the effect they have on the environment and work out solutions for the problems.

Only by changing the way we treat the environment can we get along well with it. Only by saving the environment can we save ourselves.

　　很多人都活跃在对抗不公平待遇有色人种、妇女、动物等。现在我谈论要争取尊重我们的环境。尽管环境没有嘴巴来反对人类对她所做的一切，她通过行动来报复。在早些年中国人在黄河的源头大量砍伐树木，导致了大森林的消失和可怕的洪水。结果，曾经一度覆盖草地和森林的黄土高原变成了植物稀少的荒漠。另一个例子是在一些发达国家。因为许多化学工厂没有过滤就排放有毒气体，城市充满了如此多的有毒气体，人们通过呼吸这些空气收到伤害。这是多么可怕的场景！

　　我们所痛苦的是只有一小部分的自然曾经收到破坏。如果我们不采取行动，尊重环境，我们将不得不面对一个日益糟糕的情形。

　　保护环境应采取我们依赖的措施。首先政府应该禁止污染植被、河流和湖泊、海洋和大气。第二，应该宣布公众保护环境的重要性。第三，企业应特别注意对环境的影响和解决方案的问题。

　　只有通过改变我们对待环境的方式，我们才可以相处得很好。只有拯救环境，我们才能拯救我们自己。


人类和环境Man and His Environment 第二篇作文

　Throughout history man has changed his physical environment in order to improve his way of life. With the tools of technology he has altered many physical features of the earth.

纵观历史，改善自己的生活方式，人类已经改变了自然环境。人类借助技术工具改变了地球上的许多自然特征。

　　He has transformed woodlands and prairies into farms and made lakes and reserviors out of rivers for irrigation purposes or hydroelectric power. Man has also modified the face of the earth by draining marshes and cutting through mountains to build roads and railways. However, man's changes to the physical environment have not always had beneficial results. Today, pollution of the air and water is an increasing danger to the health of the planet. Each day thousands of tons of gases come out of the exhausts of motor vehicles. Smoke from factories pollutes the air of industrialized areas and the surrounding areas of the countryside. The pollution of water is equally harmful. The whole ecological balance of the sea is being changed and industrial wastes have already made many rivers lifeless. Now environmental protection is more pressing than ever before. As we know, massive destruction of environment has brought about negative effects and even poses a great threat to man's existence.

人类将林地和草原改造成农田，河流湖泊和水库里面的水用于灌溉和水力发电。人类还通过排干沼泽和开山修建公路和铁路来改变地球的面貌。但是人类对自然环境的改变并不总是带来有益的结果。 今天，空气污染和水污染越来越威胁到地球的健康。每天，成千上万吨废气从车辆的排气管排出。工厂释放的烟雾污染了工业区的空气和周围乡村。水污染也是同样的有害。整个海洋生态平衡正在改变，工业废水已使许多河流死气沉沉。现在，环境保护比以往任何时候都更紧迫。我们都知道，环境的巨大破坏已带来负面影响，甚至对人类生存带来巨大的威胁。

　　Indifference to these problems will mean committing suicide. Therefore, effective measures should be taken and laws passed to conserve environment. Otherwise,man is certain to suffer from the serious consequences caused by this lack of care for his living surroundings.

对这些问题漠不关心意味着是自杀行为。因此，应采取有效措施并通过法律来保护环境。否则，人类一定会遭受因为不关心自己所居住的生活环境而造成的严重后果。

　　What Can We Do for the Environment?

　　Our environment is becoming worse and worse，so what can we do for the environment? I think each of us can do a little bit to help  to solve this problem。

　　The first thing we can do is to use cloth bags instead of plastic bags when we go shopping. It helps to protect the environment. The second thing we can do is to reuse the old textbooks as possible as we can. We should also never forget to turn off the lights when we leave the classrooms in order to save energy. What's more，it would be better if we walk or ride a bike to school. We should try our best to reduce pollution and waste。

　　In fact，even the simplest everyday activities can make a real difference to the environment. I believe we can make the world a better place to live in。



我们能为环境做些什么?

我们的环境变得越来越糟糕，我们能为环境做些什么？我认为我们每个人都可以做一点点帮助解决这个问题。
