　　My home town is a beautiful place. It stands beside a wide river and is rich in fish and rice.

　　But in the old days it was a poor and backward little town. Many people had no work. They lived a hard life.

　　In 1949 my hometown was lib erated. Since then great changes have taken place there. The streets have been widened. Factories， schools， hospitals， cinemas and theatres have sprung up one after another. The life of the people is greatly improved.

　　I love my hometown. All the more I love its people. They are working hard so as to make it still richer and more beautiful.

Welcome to Suzhou. Today I’m your tour guide. Suzhou is a beautiful place in Southeast China. It was built over 2500 years ago. So Suzhou is an old city with a long history. It’s famous for its gardens and Hanshan Temple. We are all proud of them. Many foreign tourists come to see them. In Suzhou, There are lots of old constructions like Tiger Hill, Beisi Pagoda and so on. After visiting them, you’ll be tired. But don’t be worried. There are also lots of snack shops in Suzhou. They are different from those in Western countries. They are much more delicious than some Western food. Suzhou is a modern city as well as an old city. There are lots of tall buildings and many other modern constructions in Suzhou, too. You can find hundreds of people in smart clothes in the street. What a beautiful city it is!

 

我的家乡马鞍山(My Hometown Mount Maanshan)

　　My hometown is Mount Maanshan. Have you ever been there? Mount Maanshan is very famous for its beautiful scenery, excellent climate and long history.

　　Mount Maanshan stands on the south bank of the Changjiang River and the east of Anhui Province. It has many nice scenic spots,Thousands of people from other parts of China and foreign countries come here every year, especially in summer.

　　Summer on Mount Maanshan is very cool. It can be called a huge natural air-conditioner in summer; Winter here is nice, too. Heavy snow falls every year. I want to say that"Mount Maanshan in summer is green like a clear fountain, and in winter is white like a white jade."

　　In the east of China, there is a small city---Haimen. I was born there. Today, I am telling you about my hometown. Haimen is not far from Shanghai. It’s at the mouth of the Changjiang River.

　　Haimen is a modern city. There are lots of high buildings in it. Most of us live in flats. We like to live in flats because we can be close to our friends. In the center of Haimen, there are many shops. You can buy some nice things here. Things in most shops aren’t expensive. You can pay a little money and they are yours.

　　My hometown is a beautiful city. On each of the roads, there are some big trees and nice flowers. The roads are also very clean. They make people happy and comfortable. The seasons here are very nice. I like autumn best. It’s neither hot nor cold. A poem says “Flyer of summer come to my window to sing, then fly away. And yellow leaves of autumn, which have no songs, just fall there with a sign.”

enping is famous for the hot springs. there are four famous hot springs in enping. they’re jinshan hot spring, didu hot spring,jinshan hot spring and hot spring paradise. jinshan hot spring has “the second hot spring of the world” designation. its water is excellent. the servers arewarm. didu hot spring is the biggest of the three. there is a nine-class waterfall in didu hot spring. its water temperature is very good. the air in jinshan hot spring is fresh, and its water is very clear. hot spring paradise is of japanese style and is know as“an immortal in south chian”. the hot springs can health and thermal water can soft boiled egg.there are many people coming to enping to enjoy the hot springs every year. do you want to have a try?
