竞争 Competition

Near my house, there lives a woman who is the same age with my mother. She has a daughter, we are at the same age, the coincidence is that we go to the same school. The woman always comes to my house, she likes to compare her daughter with me. I really hate being compared, I just want to live my own life.
在我家隔壁，住着一位和我妈妈年纪相仿的妇女。她有一个女儿，我们处在相同的年纪，碰巧的是，我们上同一所学校。这个女人总是来我家做客，她喜欢拿她的女儿和我做比较。我真的不喜欢被比较，我只想要过自己的生活.

合作还是竞争 Cooperation or Competition

In nowadays, it is quite common that we compete with each other for various competitions. However, it is also essential for people to cooperate with each other for we are members of society. When confront with cooperation and competition, people seems to have a difficult time in choosing them. Some people tend to compete with each other for they believe they can win rewards by defeating others. Some hold that we should cooperate with each other. Some think that we should not only cooperate with others but we should compete with others as well. In my opinion, I think that competing is more important for us. Reasons are listed below.

现在，我们经常会跟其他人比赛。但是，与他人合作也是很重要的，因为我们都是社会中的一员。当面对合作和竞争的时候，人们很难抉择。一些人认为我们能够通过竞争打败别人来获奖。一些人认为我们应该跟他人合作。一些人认为我们不仅要跟他人合作，也要跟别人竞争。就我看来，我认为竞争会更重要一些。原因如下：

First of all, competing is more important than cooperation in our society. In school, we compete with others by doing better in our study. When we are looking for jobs, we compete with others applying for the same position. When we go to a competition, we fight with others for rewards or fame.

第一，竞争在社会中会比合作更重要。在学校里，我们通过在学业上做的比别人出色来与他人竞争。当我们找工作的时候，我们会与那些申请同一职位的人竞争。当我们参与某项竞赛的时候，我们会与他人争名誉。

Secondly, we can be stronger by competing. If we want to win others, then we have to be stronger than others. Thus, we have to improve ourselves constantly. Consequently, our skills will be enhanced and we will get more experience to avoid failure.

第二，通过竞争，我们能变得更强。如果我们要赢得他人，那么我们必须比别人更强。为此，我们必须持续不断地提高我们自己。我们会因此提高我们的自身技能，而且也能得到更多避免失败的经验。

In conclusion, competition plays an important role in our society as well as we can become stronger.

总之，竞争在社会中扮演着重要的角色，我们可以通过竞争变得更强。

如何提高女性的竞争力 How to Improve Female’s Competitiveness

It is truth that gender discrimination still exists when female comes to find work, some females never mention her gender on the resume, just to make sure that the employers will give them the chances to get the interview. Females should improve their competiveness, so that they will have more work chances.

事实上，当女性去找工作的时候，性别歧视仍然存在，一些女性从来不在简历上提到自己的性别，仅仅是为了确保雇主能给她们机会面试。女性应该提高她们的竞争力，这样她们就会有更多的工作机会。

First, the female should show their positive attitudes toward the life and work. Female students should see their advantages clearly before hunting for a job, and highlight it in their resumes. For instance, they might emphasize that they are careful and considerate in work, patient and cooperate with colleagues as well. But the positive toward life and work brings them to a high level, which will impress the employer.

第一，女性应该展示她们乐观的生活和工作态度。女学生应该在找工作前清楚地了解她们的优势，并在简历上面强调。比如，她们可以强调她们在工作上认真和细心，对同事有耐心和乐于合作。但是乐观的生活和工作态度能让她们更上一个台阶，也能给雇主留下深刻的印象。

Second, female students must be confident. Lots of big companies like to hold a group discussion to select people, those who are silent and find it difficult to get involved in the discussion will not be considered. The employers think such people are not confident and won’t do well in the work.

第二，女学生必须自信。很多大型公司喜欢举行小组讨论来选人，那些保持沉默和难以融入讨论的人是不被考虑在内的。雇佣者认为这样的人不自信，无法胜任工作。

It is necessary for women to improve competiveness, if they want to go further than males. The positive attitude and being confident will let female win more chances.

对于女性来讲，提高竞争力是很重要的，如果他们想要比男性走得更远些。乐观的态度和表现自信会让女性赢得更多的机会。

生存就是竞争Life is Struggle

Everything in the world is in constant struggle, 'struggle' in the sense of competition in natural selection among organisms.
Animals and plants struggle for their existence. Nature provides them with weapons for that struggle. Lions have claws; fish have scales; roses have thorns. They use their weapons for the un-avoidable war of existence. Nature also orders us to struggle;when we obey Nature, we win our existence.

世上万物都置身于不断的竞争中，“竞争”就是生物体之间在自然选择过程中竞赛的意思。
动物和植物为生存而竞争，大自然赋予了它们进行竞争的武器。狮子有爪，鱼有鳞，玫瑰有刺。它们使用这些武器为不可避免的生存之战而战。大自然也迫使我们去竞争；如果我们遵循自然规律，我们就能生存。
The result of struggle is the evolution of a better society.In order to surpass others, one has to devote himself to what he does. If every individual does so. the society will make progress.
Struggle is inevitable. But we should struggle with sportsmanship, not stand in the way of others in order to achieve our own success. It is Only by struggling in such a way that mankind will see a world getting more glorious day by day.

竞争的结果是社会向好的方向发展。一个人为了超过其他人，应该致力于自己的工作。如果每个人都做到这点，社会就会进步。
竞争是不可避免的。但是我们应该以运动员所具有的道德去参与竞争，而不能为了自己的成功去挡住别人的路。
只有通过这种方式的竞争，人类才能拥有一个日益辉煌的世界。
