连词是连接单词、短语、从句或句子的一种虚词，在句中不单独作任何成分，大多数连词具有实义。连词往往不重读。
　　
　　一、连词有四种构成方式：
　　
　　1、简单连词
　　
　　and和or或者but但是if如果because因为so所以
　　
　　for因为nor也不neither也不however然而although尽管
　　
　　though尽管since既然lest惟恐unless如果不
　　
　　until直到before在……之前when当……时候while在……期间
　　
　　suppose（that）假使except只是、要不是immediately一……就……
　　
　　directly一……就……instantly一……就……
　　
　　2、关联连词
　　
　　both…and…二者都notonly…butalso…不仅……而且
　　
　　not…but…不是……而是either…or…要么……要么
