The search for the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 has resumed on Friday after being temporarily suspended due to bad weather a day earlier.

The Australian Maritime Safety Authority has said 10 aircraft are taking part in the air search in the southern Indian Ocean. These include nine military aircraft from six nations and a civil aircraft. A total of five ships, four from China and one from Australia, have also been dispatched to the search area.

Meanwhile, Australia has defined a new search area after a new credible lead emerged. Australian authorities said the new area is 11-hundred kilometers to the northeast from the current search area.
