  Five years at the top

FIVE years doesn't seem so long, does it? But five years doing just one thing is.

5566, the boy band from Taiwan, has been together for five years now. The band is four handsome boys: Tony (孙协志), 29, Zax (王仁甫), 27, Sam (王绍伟), 27, Jason (许孟哲), 22.

Each has a different character. Tony is serious and careful; Sam is outgoing; Zax is full of tricks; Jason is the one who has to plan everything before hand.

On December 13, they were in Beijing to promote their 11th album, Bravo (《喝采》). It's a record full of romantic songs. They have been busy. They have also written some cheerful music for the Beijing Olympics. The songs they wrote even use sounds from Beijing Opera.

"We're very excited about the Olympics. We want to make a contribution," said Jason, the band's youngest member.

The four boys are different. Because they're different, they sometimes don't agree with each other. How do they deal with problems? They don't pretend every thing is fine. They say what they think.

"When we argue it sometimes hurts. But it's better to get things into the open. It's good for us in the long run," said Sam.

But there are limits. Some one can say what they think, but he mustn't be rude.

Tony said,"5566 is a team. We have to think about the group's future. We can't be always acting like children."
