"Expired" is the Engpsh word used to describe something that has passed its expiration date or vapdity period.

The word "expired" comes from the Latin word "expirare" which means "to breathe out." The term was originally used to describe the end of a person's pfe, but its meaning has evolved to include the end of a specific period of time for things pke food, medicines, and other perishable items.
